Welcome to June! Which means we’re entering beach season (in the northern hemisphere, at least!).
To get you in the mood, here’s a photo of Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. It was taken from an overlook at Ecola State Park.
Sorry, I don’t have any presidential connections to the area. But if you’re a history buff, Lewis and Clark did camp near here in the winter of 1805-06 after their expedition reached the Pacific Ocean. You can visit Lewis and Clark National Historical Park in nearby Astoria, Oregon.
And movie fans may recognize the place because some scenes from The Goonies were filmed here.
Above all, though, it’s a beach. And quite a lovely one. Enjoy summer!
